Appointment Times

  • Monday to Friday – 08:00 – 12:00 & 14:00 – 17:30
  • Saturday – 9:0 – 13:00 (2 Saturday clinics per month)

For URGENT appointments please contact the surgery from 8.00am. Please note you may not be able to see a GP of your choice. You may be offered a telephone consultation with the GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner

From 1 July 2021 the practice has restarted offering a limited number of Nurse / Health Care Assistant appointments on Tuesday evenings 6.30-8.30.

Telephone Consultations are available with the GPs and Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

We are currently trying to minimise the number of patients that come to the practice to reduce the chances of infecting each other and staff. Most consultations will be by telephone or on the day and patients will be asked to confirm they have no symptoms before being given a face to face appointment. Please wear a face-mask for attending the practice. Essential reviews, injections and vaccinations will go ahead. On-line bookable appointments will be restricted to telephone appointments. On arrival for an appointment you may find the front door closed. Follow the signs to knock on the window for entry.

NHS coronavirus guidance

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Booking an Appointment

If booking by phone our trained Medical Receptionists will often ask you about the purpose of your appointment. If you provide basic information, they can make sure you are seen by the appropriate clinician.
Please note, our lines are very busy in the mornings. You calls are in a queue and will get answered, but you may have a wait at the busiest times.

Did you know you can book appointments on-line? Ask for a personal login at our reception desk.

Appointment Text Confirmation and Reminders

At the end of last year, a new feature was added to enable patients to receive a text message confirmation of their booked appointment and a reminder 2 days prior to the appointment date.

Patients are encouraged to check with the practice that we hold your up to date mobile number on your record, so that you can benefit from this service. Parents can give consent for their mobile number to be added to the record of children aged under 16, so that you also receive a text when booking appointments for the kids. Don’t forget. If you are unable to make an appointment it is very important that you contact us to cancel it, so the appointment can be made available to another patient.

Patient Information – Evening & Weekend Appointments

The surgery can now offer access to bookable appointments up to 8pm Monday to Friday and on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Please be advised that availability is very limited (other than for Saturday mornings) and will be pre-booked only. Such appointments (other than on Saturdays) are often provided from an alternative surgery - you may have to travel. These appointments are not available to book on-line - therefore please speak to a member of our reception team for further advice
